Emergency Services Respond to Two-Car Crash in Heywood, Two Treated at Scene

Emergency services rushed to a Heywood street on Saturday morning following a two-car collision.

The incident occurred on Green Lane at approximately 9.45 am on Saturday, April 26th, prompting a significant response from paramedics and firefighters.

Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided treatment to two people.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) also deployed resources to the location. Two fire engines, one from Heywood and another from Rochdale, were sent out, along with a specialist enhanced rescue unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne.

Images from the scene showed a red Ford Mondeo and a blue car involved in the crash, which appeared to have taken place at a junction. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The front end of the blue car appeared "completely wrecked," while the Mondeo was also described as "badly damaged."

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately 50 minutes dealing with the incident involving the two vehicles.
